| Reading Time 2 minute

What a year! An idea that had been lingering in the back of my head was ready to bloom. I knew some of what I needed, idea, website, LLC, funding. And I’m three for four. The LLC was the easiest. Less than an hour on LegalZoom and I was good to go. The idea has grown and become more defined. The website took longer than I wanted and has one significant update coming before the app launch. Funding, as any entrepreneur will say, is the hard part.

Solopreneurship is HARD.
It’s my pet project, my raison d’etre, my passion and my demanding child. I never thought it would be a walk in the park, but the sheer number of hats I wear is daunting. I’m a writer, editor, designer, graphic artist, photographer, researcher, data architect, web developer, webmaster, beta tester, accountant, financier, recruiter, mentor, manager, teacher, marketer, social media manager, channel partner coordinator, and wanderer! And I’m sure I’ve forgotten some other hats. Doing many different things keeps me from getting bored.

I found some ways to maximize my 24 hours. Entrepreneur and social media podcasts while exercising. And listening to them at 1.5 speed. Scheduling dedicated time to the tasks I’d rather not do, like finance. Because it’s NO fun to spend a lovely spring weekend or three doing taxes. I also discovered what I named the entrepreneur diet, saving money and calories.

I had some amazing adventures some first class, some bargain. Upstairs on Emirates A380 Business Class (BKK-DXB for $650). First class on Qatar (not as nice as Emirates Business). Flixbus from Stutgart to Bilbao. Eurolines bus from Malaga to Lisbon. The temples around Siem Reap beyond Angkor Wat. A day in the ruins of Baalbek. The fireworks festival in Osterfildern. The Rock of Gibraltar. Expediting a passport renewal from Spain. Being a nomad for six months with one suitcase. And more! Details of some of these trips will be available in upcoming articles.

I learned so many things, some the hard way, which spawned another project, a How-to Manual for solopreneurs, which I expect to self-publish on Amazon by August. 😱

I hope you are educated, entertained and enlightened by Wanderonomy. If you (or someone you know) are interested in investing please let me know.
