One of the best things about traveling with CJ is you don’t have to do the planning. She will do the research and come up with activities that appeal to all involved. If there is something, in particular, you want to get out of the trip, tell her and she will make it happen. She is a thorough researcher for hotels that are clean and convenient but don’t break the bank. She has booked many hotels for me and has never landed us in a dud. CJ is decisive so you don’t waste half the day deciding where to go and what to do. I enjoy hopping into the passenger seat and letting her take the lead. I get to enjoy the scenery, relax and leave the details to her.

CJ planned a girls trip to a jungle spa in Belize. We had a wonderful few days of relaxing in a beautiful, flower-covered pool, hiking through forests, touring ruins, and enjoying local spa treatments. She had negotiated a special rate that made it affordable and a great chance to reconnect with friends.

I have had the pleasure of traveling with CJ a number of times. The first was a trip leaving from JFK to Istanbul, Turkey in January 2000 We spent several days in Istanbul which is a beautiful city. CJ had researched our trip exceedingly well and after a quick check-in at our hotel, we were off to see the city. We visited Hagia Sophia, which was an Orthodox Cathedral, then a mosque, and now a museum. We also visited Topkapi Palace made famous by a James Bond movie, and finally the Grand Bazaar, the largest underground market in the world containing over 2,000 individual shops, just amazing.

Then we were off on a 5-day cruise which included stops at the islands of Crete, Rhodes, and Kusadasi. Crete and Rhodes were interesting with their ancient historical sites, but Ephesus, Kusadasi was amazing. It is an entire Roman City, which was the home of the Temple of Artemis, one of the original Seven Wonders of the World. Archeologists have been excavating Ephesus since 1863. We also went shopping and got some amazing buys on gold.

At the end of the trip, we spent two days in Athens, Greece. We visited the buildings of the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Zeus and the Agora, Athen’s ancient marketplace. Finally returning to the states. Not only was the trip beautiful, interesting and fun, but it was also very affordable. Not only does CJ find incredible bargains, but she’s a great traveling companion.

This site and staff are incredibly helpful for overseas travel planning. When my husband and I traveled to Iceland last summer 2018, I asked CJ for suggestions and she had several! Iceland is one of many countries she has visited. CJ kept in touch with me and forwarded me information whenever she found something she thought I would like to know. I will use this site and staff for all of my overseas travel plans!

I can truly say that CJ puts the wonder back in wandering. Traveling with CJ means that you will be prepared and get to see the things that you find interesting. While I always try to do research before I go, I know that CJ has the perfect guidebook to use upon my arrival. When I visited her in Germany, she was able to narrow down the sights to fit my time, interests and budget. I was able to eat Black Forest Cake in the Black Forest and visit UNESCO world heritage sights such as the Wies Pilgrimage Church of the Scourged Saviour.

Upon her recommendation, I saw priceless works of art and fascinating architecture by visiting local churches, museums including the Mercedes Benz and walking around the towns.

She made sure I had venischnitzel, spatzel, reisling and bratwurst. Knowing that I don’t enjoy strong beer, she introduced me to the Rattler (lemonade and beer). She explained how the markets and trails have water stations where you can fill your water bottle. She reiterated European dining hours and further explained local customs. This was particularly useful when I went to Neuschwanstein, the castle which inspired Walt Disney.

How many trips – let me count the days! CJ is a fabulous travel planner and travel companion. She has planned more trips for the two of us than I can even recall. One of the most memorable was a trip to Australia. She planned the flights, lodging and excursions and I went along for a fabulous ride. We started in Sydney with the Taronga Zoo Sydney, the Royal Botanic Garden and the Marriage of Figaro at the infamous Sydney Opera House. We took a lovely boat ride through the Sydney Harbour, visited Sydney Tower with its expansive views and took a walking tour through the city. From Sydney, we flew south to Melbourne. We rented a car and drove the Great Ocean Road stopping along the way at Bell’s Beach, Split Point Lighthouse and other fun stops before ending the day at the Twelve Apostles rock formation and viewing petite fairy penguins coming to shore at sunset. We toured the Australian Open Tennis Courts, beautiful rainforests and visited a lovely farm outside of Melbourne that offered an opportunity to get up close and personal with the kangaroos, the experience of a lifetime!

I can’t say enough good things about CJ and traveling with her. She is an easy travel companion and never fails to come up with great ideas for things to do when traveling. She gets to know your pace and will often use that to gauge how active to be during travel. Have a fun adventure with CJ – it will be so memorable!

Traveling with CJ is not just fun, but easy and informative. She really enjoys providing the best (and safest) recommendations for things to do in the chosen local area. If you need a recommendation for activities, she’s got it. Eateries, shopping, and lodging? She’s got you there as well.

As a worldwide traveler, CJ is knowledgeable on the best technologies to use to make your trip as stress free as possible.

I absolutely recommend CJ for any travel questions or advice. If she doesn’t know if, she’ll bend over backwards to help find the answer!!

In that brief window between vaccination and the coronavirus delta variant (July 2021), CJ planned an amazing trip to Turkey for me. I flew Turkish Airlines to Kateri where I took a car service to Goreme and checked into my room at the Artemis Cave Hotels. Artemis is very close to many restaurants and shops, and I enjoyed watching the hot air balloons go right over the hotel. I had a lovely view of the city both during the day and in the evening (where it’s downright magical). We walked from the hotel and toured the open-air museum site learning about the historical area with plenty of scenic views of the fairy chimneys. The highlight of my trip was the Cappadocia Hot Air Balloons excursion by Butterfly Balloons. Our experience started with breakfast before taking flight at sunrise. We traveled through the skies, dipping down to see the rock formations and the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. The views were breathtaking. At the end, when we were back down on the ground, we enjoyed a glass of Champagne. Our final day was a luxurious hammam Turkish bath experience. Utter relaxation! CJ planned the bucket list trip I didn’t know I wanted but I so needed.
