When I planned this trip to Jordan I had some must revisit places and St George`s Church to see the mosaic map of the middle east was on the list.
The outside of the church is simple but the remains of the mosaic map on the floor are great. And a bit confusing because the labeling was facing me as I took the video but to me the map appears a mirror image. The walled city of Jerusalem is clearly visible and west of the Nile.
It was interesting to see the colonnaded street in Jerusalem when I had visited that street earlier this year!

I finally had a day to revisit one of my fav sites in Israel. In the 25 years since my last visit many things have changed at the site. Parking lots, national park entrance fee, historical video overview, signage, tourist shopping, excavations, and more.
As you can see from the photos above some things endure. I recognized the arches and immediately thought to myself, I have a photo of these from 25 years ago. I didn`t recreate the exact angle, but captured a wider angle of the scene with the hippodrome and port in the background.

I never know what I will encounter underwater. Sometimes it`s just a peaceful escape from work, and then sometimes you see a once in a lifetime event. OK, once in my lifetime, for the blue spotted rays, I certainly hope it`s more than once!
My dive buddy and guide were both looking at something else and missed the show.
