Ahh…I love scuba liveaboards (LOB for short) diving….I did my PADI Advanced Open Water course on a LOB in Sharm el Sheik, Red Sea, Egypt in 2001. At the time, dive buddies said I was spoiled by skipping lots of shore or day boat dives. How right they were. I took about 19 years off from diving but recently got back under the water.
I had intended to go to Tunisia in April, but an email with a 60% off LOB for Egypt arrived and voila, back to the Red Sea where my diving began.
The Aggressor fleet has a reputation for quality and with the 60% off, it was within my price range! Red Sea Aggressor IV was definitely nicer than my other LOB adventures. Good food, espresso, AC, amazing service, and fresh from the dryer hot towels after every dive!
LOB diving is so easy, no schlepping of gear. Just dive, eat, sleep, repeat.
The St John’s itinerary in the southern Red Sea was amazing. Brilliant, vibrant hard and soft corals in a stunning array of colors. Don’t take my word for it. Look at the photos!
